33 Weeks

Well, we have six weeks left before Molly makes her arrival. We are getting very excited and ready to meet her. All of the doctor's appointments have gone great and we have a healthy baby girl and mama. Thank you so much for all of your prayers as we prepare for our family of three (okay five...if you want to count the dogs). We love you all so much!

Hello everyone! I have a few pictures to update you with-not too many though. We have been doing great here-I am 29 weeks pregnant today and a few weeks into the third trimester-the homestretch! I am going to see the doctor every two weeks now and our next appointment is coming up on Tuesday. We have started getting the nursery ready and this past weekend, we enjoyed a visit from Kim and Dicky, Dicky's parents. They helped us paint the ceiling in the nursery and Kim helped me make the letters that will go above Molly's crib. That is what the pictures are of.


This is a picture from 2 weeks ago, at 27 weeks. As of today, I am 29 weeks! :)

We also joined a church last week-First Baptist McKinney. God has already opened up so many doors for us as we make friends with other couples. We have a great class that we are members of on Sunday mornings-other couples our age and half of the class is pregnant! We also have a home group that is made up of couples that are from Melissa (5 miles south of Anna). I have also met some amazing girls that I meet together with about every other week for a women's bible study. So-we have been praying that God would place people in our lives that we can fellowship with and build lifelong relationships with. It is amazing to see Him at work. Well, everything is going great here. I am 25 weeks pregnant and feeling pretty great. The morning sickness seems to have returned over the past few days but I am hoping that it is a temporary thing. Our next doctor's visit is February 17 so I will try to keep this updated. Oh, the other pictures are of the crib and the crib bedding. It is called vintage floral. :) I hope things are going well with everyone!

We are going to have a baby girl! We went to the doctor on Friday and they said that everything looks awesome. The sonographer actually said that the baby looks like a "text book baby". Here are a few pictures that we took today. I am actually starting to look pregnant. Have a Merry Christmas!

So not much has happened since the last post. I am really starting to feel better. I will have my moments of feeling very nauseous and it is pretty intense and then is goes away-much better than the "almost all day sickness". I will be 15 weeks on Sunday and now that I am feeling better, time seems to be flying by! I have a doctor's appointment at 10:30 on Monday to make sure that things are going just as they should. They normally will just check my blood pressure and listen to the baby's hearbeat at these early visits. We cheated on listening to the heartbeat. Normally, you won't get to hear it until you go to the doctor at about how many weeks I am right now. But, I have a friend at work that had a fetal doppler, which is used to listen to the baby's heartbeat. She has two daughters and is done having babies so she sold it to me for next to nothing. It is so nice-it is like the dopplers that we use in the operating room to listen to the baby right before a c-section. So, we have the joy of listeing to our sweet baby whenevery we want to at home. We have been able to hear it since about 9 weeks. It is just amazing what God does! I really like having the doppler at home because Dicky can also hear the baby. The baby's heartbeat is almost always right aound 160. Yes, this is fast, but completely normal for a baby. I go to the doctor once a month until 3o weeks, every two weeks from 30-36 weeks, and then every week from 36 weeks until I deliver. I love the doctors in the practice that I go to. I work at the hospital with them and it is great because I feel so comfortable asking them questions. Dicky also likes the doctor's office because they have flat screen TV's in the patient rooms. :) So, I will be going back to the doctor around 19 weeks. Hopefully, we will be able to find out if we should start to buy blue or pink at that visit, which will be right before Christmas. So just incase any of you have been wondering if I have had any cravings (that is a question that I get a lot), yes, and my new one is Taco Bell tacos. That is so weird huh? I never really minded taco bell tacos before I was pregnant, but it definately was not my number one choice. This baby will be perfect for our family-it already loves Mexican food (if you call Taco Bell mexican food). Don't worry though, my other craving is for fruit, which I have been eating a lot of lately-especially oranges and grapes. So don't anyone read this and think, well is she being healthy eating all of those tacos? I still try to be a health nut and I am being healthy. :) Taco bell is 20 minutes away and that is a treat. I have only gained about 3.5 pounds, which yes, that is normal at 15 weeks. They should start adding up here soon though. :) I will let y'all know how the visit goes on Monday. Baby Smith!

Ok, so I know that I need to post pictures of the home since we have moved in. However, I have time to post a few pictures and I figured that y'all would much rather see our sweet baby over the new home. So, here are a few recent pictures of our precious baby at 12 1/2 weeks old. As of Sunday, November 2, I will be able to kiss the first trimester goodbye! From what I hear, the second trimester is the fun trimester and you feel much better, so...bring it on! :) For those of you who don't already know...we are expecting and our due date is May 10. I guess I should have put that sentence up at the top of this entry for those of you who haven't already heard the news. Surprise! So, here are our pictures and the house pictures will be up as soon as possible.

We had our final walk through with the builder on Friday and things are getting pretty exciting! We didn't get to take many pictures but here are the ones that we got. There was someone working on the door, so you can't really tell, but the front door matches the color of the shutters. We have an exciting week ahead of us!
