Santa

Molly experienced her first time to sit in Santa's lap a few weeks ago. We went to Frisco. She did great, she just couldn't keep her tongue in her mouth!

Drama Queen!

This was taken with a phone, so a little blurry, but this is Molly's new pose. We call it "calendar girl". She is definitely a girly girl already. Notice the hand on her hip.

Happy Halloween...Three Weeks Ago!

Molly was a sweet little nurse for her first Halloween. She had so much fun helping daddy hand out candy. She especially liked her first taste of candy!

YUM-YUM!!!

We went to our first Harvest Party this year and had lots of fun. Yes, Molly is wearing two different pairs of scrubs in these pictures. She outgrew the light pink pair! I got the bigger ones on ebay for $5.99...what a deal (I just had to throw that in)!

Pumpkin Patch

I know, I know...I am waaaaaaaaaaay behind here. But I did it. I posted the punpkin patch pictures. I remember looking at my friends' blogs about a month ago to see their pumpkin patch pictures and I am just now posting ours. Oh well.

Molly wasn't quite sitting up on her own, so it made pictures a challenge. As you can see from the pictures, all she really wanted to do was eat the hay. She actually got her first two teeth a few days after we took these pictures! The girl has two teeth now. I never knew these things would be so exciting. :)

HSU Homecoming

The three of us headed down to Abilene for our first Homecoming in a few years. I remember being in college, sitting in our dorms, and we would always talk about "when we get married and have babies..." that we would bring them to homecoming weeked and have them all meet each other. Well, fast forward about 7 years, and here we are. We went to SING on Friday. Molly had fun but went to bed wayyy too late on Friday night. On Saturday, we woke up and had breakfast with old friends. It was fun for Molly to meet all of the other babies. After breakfast, we threw Amanda a shower then headed back to good 'ol Anna. Short (but fun) trip! Dicky really was there, I just don't have any pictures to proove it! The guys just hung out, ate, and watched football.

Bring on the Cereal!

Molly is about 5 1/2 months old so we decided to let the girl chow (slurp) down some good 'ol rice cereal. I would say that it went well, even though I am not sure how much actually went in her month!

Here are a few of the MANY pictures that we took:

First bite!

Not so sure about this...

She would much rather eat her bib instead!

She had to do this, just to make the moment even more memorable!

Dicky called across the house for me to bring him some scissors. This is the second time he has done this. He cut the girl's clothes off! Can you tell that he works in the ER!?! I guess he put this in the "emergency" category!

All in all, it was a great experience!!!

New Hairdo!

Molly has lost just about all of her hair on the side. She was left with a comb over/toupee that wouldn't hold bows too well. So, here is her new hairdo. Like Shay would say, we are embracing what hair we have!

Jumpin' Molly

Molly loves to stand up lately. So, I decided to put the Jumpin' Johnny up in our bathroom one day while I was getting ready. Wow! The best idea I have had in a long time! She absolutely loved it and it is now one of her favorite things to do. She watches us get ready, she spins around and watches the dogs play, she talks, and pretty much has a blast. I paid $10 for that Jumpin' Johnny at Divine Consign and let me tell ya...great investment!

Ashley and Brandon Smith

Last weekend, we went to Ashley and Brandon's wedding. Brian, my brother, and Brandon were best friends growing up. Brandon felt like he was a brother and this was a very sweet wedding.

Here they are getting hitched! Congratulations!

Our little family of three. Molly did great at the wedding. She only cried at the end when everyone had their sparklers. I think she felt a bit overwhelmed!

Watching TV

I know, I know...babies aren't supposed to sit in front of the TV. Well, this was a special occasion. I mean, the girl has to live a little. Daddy lets her sneak a little TV in when Mama isn't watching. Can you tell she enjoyed it?

That's right...caught y'all!

4 Month Appointment/Dicky's Birthday

All ready to go to the doctor! I know, I know, it looks like she has too many layers. It was in the 60's and the blanket is very light.

Weight: 13lbs. 10oz.=43%
Length: 24 3/4 in. =68%
Head: 16 1/8 in.=45%

Spitting up on her Daddy, on his Birthday!

Waiting to be seen. We were entertaining ourselves. :)

After the shots. She wasn't a happy camper. She sure was clinging to her daddy. He made everything okay. :)

She did really well after her shots. A lot of my friends told me that their babies took really long naps after they got their shots. So, I was very hopeful. Molly is normally a really good napper, so I really thought we had this one in the bag. She didn't sleep much all day. She was happy (prob. because the Tylenol wasn't allowing her to be too upset) but just wouldn't sleep. She did fall asleep in her carseat on the way home, so we left her in it and put her in her room. She slept for about 45 minutes and woke up crying. When I went in to check on her, she had a bandaid across her mouth! I guess it stuck to her finger and she put her fingers to her mouth. Poor thing.

Back to this long nap business. So, since the weather had been a bit cooler, we decided to go on our walk sooner than we usually do. On most nights, she takes a cat nap during the walk. She was fussy this night and we felt sorry for her since she had her shots. So, with a little bit of hesitation, we got her out of her stroller and Dicky carried her for the last half of the walk. We got a few looks. I was pushing an empty stroller and Dicky was carrying Molly. Have we lost our minds! ? She crashed! Finally, the nap that we had been waiting for all day. It didn't last long. She did sleep for 11 hours that night though, so I will not complain!

Here she is, getting her way...

This is how our walk went...

Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday to an amazing husband and father!!!
We spent Saturday celebrating Dicky's birthday with family. We had a great time and ate some delicious hamburgers. Dicky's birthday was actually on Monday, but we celebrated over the weekend. Molly had her 4 month appt. on Monday and we didn't plan on doing too much, just incase she was fussy. You know how that goes...

We love you and hope that you had a great birthday (even though it was spent at the pediatrician's office)!!! If Molly could say something, I am sure she would tell you thanks for being the best daddy ever. She loves you so much-I can tell by the way she looks at you and gets a huge gummy grin on her face!

Love you!
